Do we always divide our weight loss with the starting weight or do we go from the weight of the last Monday? This week I'm going with original weight cause the number looks better. 2.64% Looks like I need to run 4.5 miles (not gonna happen) each day to try to win. Or just stop eating. Oh here's my picture. These are the tightest clothes I wear and to spare you nightmares I didn't do a bikini as the photographer (Mark) asked me to. I'm sure if I'm the winner you'll be able to tell that I'm skinnier. I want my face and gut to look better.
We are sick
We are sick at our house so maybe that will help me drop a little. Although that never happens to me because I always eat no matter how bad I am feeling. I am down 4.31%. This is always about where I plateau so I guess I need to kick it into gear now. The rain is back so I'm not willing to go run in it. I will have to do the Wii again. BB

I guess this is how you write something. I've had a couple of poor weeks and in fact, have gained weight. My wife says it's muscle and I agree. (It's cow and Lobster muscle). This week I plan to hit it hard and lose what I gained so I can be back to 0% loss.
Keep you posted but I'm kind of embarrassed to post a picture.

Postin and pics!

This picture doesn't help with the ol' self esteem either because I am standing by a twig!!

Alrighty! Here are some pictures at Christmas time...sorry since I started losin...but this is the correct image before I started. I went to Dr today and got weighed and I lost 2.09%.
I was a little disappointed because I have started exercising and eating good...but this weekend we went to VEGAS and we over ate at every stinkin resturant cuz St. George has very little choices. (thats how I am justifying it) Darn PFCHANGS!!!
Oh well! I am on the bandwagon for another week until I hook up with Holly next weekend and stuff my face again cuz SLC has REALLY good places to eat to!!! You have been warned Holly!! Muwhaha!!
a few days late
My loss for the week was only .65%. So, technically I gained a little that week. BUT, I am officially home from my vacations and weekend getaways so I can get back to normal now. On a happy weight gaining note, Kevin gained 2 pounds this month so he's back up to the 50th percentile for his weight! (he had lost a little and was down to the 15th%)

Come On Everyone!
I'm so excited...I just did my pushups from the hundred pushup challenge and I have been needing to do the modified pushups on my knees (since I'm a WIMP) and tonight is the first night I could do one full on man pushup! I'm in the second week of the challenge and its pretty good if anyone wants to try it out. Anyway, I'm down 1.3% this week. Can't wait to hear from everyone!

Hello? I'm here
Ok, I paid my money so I better get going on this thing. I have no idea how much I weighed on Jan. 1 but I did weigh myself once on my dad's new scale while I was in Idaho so I'm going to start with that weight because according to my scale I've already lost 7 pounds! Is that fair?
I should probably come up with some goals...
1. Since I weigh a little less than I did in high school (when I used to lift weights every day) I think one goal should be that I need to gain some muscle. I'm not sure how I'll do that since I don't go to a gym. I just use the Wii fit and EA active. But I will see what I can come up with.
2. I really need to exercise more often. Like at least twice a week. (I've really been slacking.) So I will say I need to jog (not run, I'm slow) at least 2x and do the Wii at least 2x for now. I think that's doable.
3. I'm going to work really hard to keep Kevin nursing this whole time since that burns tons of calories!
4. I will also recommit to recording my calories so I can make sure I burn more than I eat. I would have done it over Christmas, but I have no idea how much all that junk on my mom's counter would have counted for.
OK, now I have questions. Do we just post our percentages lost on here or how much we actually weigh? Is the winner just the person who loses the highest percentage at the end? When I calculate my percentage each week do I start with my starting weight or do I just calculate what I lost that week? Can someone tell me the best way to do measurements? I want to be able to say I lost 18 inches when this is all over.
I will be back soon to post my pictures. And once I see how I compare to everyone else, maybe I will come up with more of a plan so I can win!
Thanks! ~Becky

The biggest thing I lost was the email!
I lost 0.5% last week, so, sorry to say, I'm not the biggest loser. I also lost my blog from Holly, so that was a bigger loss. I am enjoying reading the blogs. Until next week!

Pictures please!
Hey fellow Biggest Losers!
A question was asked on how we are checking ourselves? Since the players are spread out through the USA...how do we keep ourselves honest? We have come up with a solution. We think it would be best to post pictures. Now don't freak out...we are not talking nudy pics. Regular clothes will do just fine. If you have problems posting...email Holly and she can help you out.:}
This will be an awesome boost to see ourselves BEFORE and AFTER.
Good luck!

I have already started mapping out what I should be eating and I have almost dejunked my cupboards of my stashes that I save for my sweet tooth fixes! Oh crap!! I just found out its almost girl scout cookie time!! Ohhhh!! My weakness!! Oh yes, and I would like to fit back into my jeans that I was wearing pre-human anatomy!!!

First Monday
Ok my first weigh in I am at 1.6% I wish this was like the real biggest loser and in the first week you loose like 20 pounds. That would be awesome.
Week One
I declare last week a test run. The weekend was a free for all. I am already am having trouble. I didn't lose anything, but I guess its better than gaining. I have one week left before I am again sucked back into school. I think once I'm out of the house I should do better.
Hope everyone had better luck than myself.

This will be fun. I promise Holly, not to question your math--I don't want to lose you as a daughter!
We're doing a fitness challenge in district. I am participating with our 6th grade team. It will help me to stick to my goals:
1. Exercise at least 30 minutes daily.
2. Eat properly
3. Drink 64 oz. of water a daily
4. Get proper rest
5. read, pray, and meditate daily.
Oh Yeh! I have been doing many of these things, but lately it just hasn't happened, soooo---now's the time to get back on the wagon!

Commitment
I will join. I do all I can to avoid competition, but I need some motivation. I hope by joining this group it will help me to actually get some results. So I've thought of some goals. For January:
1. Be able to complete a mile in 12 minutes
2. Replace my Diet Dr Pepper intake with water.
3. Complete a full work out in one hour. That's 30 min cardio 30 min weights.
I'd like to lose 15 pounds total but will take more. I want to do this, I will do this.

Here I go...Again
I don't know why, but I am obsessed with losing weight, but never really did anything about it. It just easier not to. I'd rather wish I had high metabolism then eat right. I love to exercise, but I use it as an excuse to eat more. That has to stop and it will not be easy for me. But as an old saying goes "Anything worth doing isn't easy" (I just made that up, I don't know if it is an old saying.) I have tried different diet plans in the past. Though they work-its not for me. My whole strategy is to do the math diet. Eat less calories then I expend. I want to learn how to eat right and the right portions. I love to eat and I will not deprive myself. It makes irritable and unpleasant to be around. I'd rather have control then restraint. Good Luck everyone
All right, all right...
I'll post already! I may have overindulged a little when I was pregnant, and now I am ready to lose it! I am trying to get back in shape too. I have fitness goals which should help me with my weight goals.
My goals are:
1. Be able to run 4 miles by the end of January. I'm up to 3...4 should be doable, right?
2. Be able to do 5 "man" pushups by the end of January. Have you even tried to do one?? Don't laugh at me!
3. Be able to do 30 reps on that one ab machine at the gym (you know who you are).
My weight loss goal for three months is 15 lbs! I can do it! I've weighed in and will report back on Monday with any changes...hopefully no gain!

2010 Biggest Loser
Happy New Year! Welcome to this year's biggest loser.
1. Contest will begin January 1 and end March 31. All who are playing, please post by January 15.
2. Cost is $20 and the winner will receive the whole loot! Money can be given to Stephanie Duff. If you are playing, have it in by January 31.
3. Every Monday we will have a Reporting Post. Each member must report their percentage of weight change...up or down! To calculate that, you will take how many pounds lost (or gained) divided by your original weight and times by 100. Ta-Da! Your percent!
For example, if a person lost 2 lbs and weight 150, they would take 2/150=1.3%.
This way, it doesn't matter if you want to lose 50 lbs or 10.
We would like everyone to post that is participating. Just a little about themselves and goals they have. This is a great opportunity to share any recipes or strategies you have so others may benefit from your success!
Thank-you all for participating and GOOD LUCK!
