Ok, I paid my money so I better get going on this thing. I have no idea how much I weighed on Jan. 1 but I did weigh myself once on my dad's new scale while I was in Idaho so I'm going to start with that weight because according to my scale I've already lost 7 pounds! Is that fair?
I should probably come up with some goals...
1. Since I weigh a little less than I did in high school (when I used to lift weights every day) I think one goal should be that I need to gain some muscle. I'm not sure how I'll do that since I don't go to a gym. I just use the Wii fit and EA active. But I will see what I can come up with.
2. I really need to exercise more often. Like at least twice a week. (I've really been slacking.) So I will say I need to jog (not run, I'm slow) at least 2x and do the Wii at least 2x for now. I think that's doable.
3. I'm going to work really hard to keep Kevin nursing this whole time since that burns tons of calories!
4. I will also recommit to recording my calories so I can make sure I burn more than I eat. I would have done it over Christmas, but I have no idea how much all that junk on my mom's counter would have counted for.
OK, now I have questions. Do we just post our percentages lost on here or how much we actually weigh? Is the winner just the person who loses the highest percentage at the end? When I calculate my percentage each week do I start with my starting weight or do I just calculate what I lost that week? Can someone tell me the best way to do measurements? I want to be able to say I lost 18 inches when this is all over.
I will be back soon to post my pictures. And once I see how I compare to everyone else, maybe I will come up with more of a plan so I can win!
Thanks! ~Becky

Oh, I see, original weight. So my first report is 4.46% lost. I'll get on track this Monday.
ReplyDeleteOk, that number I started with was really inflated based on the way I usually weigh myself (time of day and what I'm wearing) so I would like to resubmit my first post as 1.96% lost.
ReplyDeleteI'm not ready to post my actual weight! I'm just doing percentage lost. I don't know how to measure...I'm sure if you googled it, you would find something.
